Holy shit my ears are ringing! The City Wide folks got a head full of bad punk rock tonight with the jam space next to ours. Its very difficult getting the feel for your own songs with a shitty band pounding away in earshot of you. I've been enjoying early Sunday morning recording sessions with no one around. Pin droppin' quiet!
As for some quiet sounds, tonight i was listening to The KLF's very sparse ambient album from the late 80s simply titled, "Space". An audio journey around the solar system and back again. I believe the Orb's Alex Patterson had a hand in this as well.
To think after recording this album and producing a string of UK number one songs, their grand finale would be throwing a sheep carcass on the steps of the Brit Awards. How charming! Although it sure beats burning your band's royalties as a publicity stunt!
